Transit systems world wide celebrate Transit Equity Day annually on February 4, the birthdate of Mrs. Rosa L. Parks. Her silent protest on an Montgomery, Alabama transit bus resulted in an decisive win in civil rights and a blow to those who felt society would most benefit from inequitable transit services. Today's public transportation, built on the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and other legislation continues to lead the way in promising important access to employment, education, and healthcare as well as serving as a catalyst for economic development, sustainability and other common goals. We are proud to play our part in ensuring equal transit for all in Rockingham County.

LocalLink is a point-to-point service available to anyone traveling within the designated network outside the regular deviated fixed-route bus service and connector service area. It is a rideshare service. Passengers schedule rides rather than wait for a bus on a fixed schedule. Passengers can call or use a smartphone application to schedule an “on demand” ride and be connected from either Eden, NC to Wentworth, NC or locations in Western Rockingham County (Madison, NC, Mayodan, NC or Stoneville, NC) to Eden, NC.
